I don't really have a point to this blog except that over the past few weeks I've had many topics swirling around my brain. Reading books that aren't about the supernatural along with things happening in my life has caused me to think far more than I have in such a long time. Why is it that humanity is so caught up with every day life no one has the time to enjoy life's simple joys? When was the last time you woke up late on a Saturday morning, sat in the kitchen with a nice, warm cup of coffee and just enjoy the morning sunshine caressing your face? I did that this weekend and my goodness did it feel good. I felt like a cat all cozy in a spot of sunshine. Everyone is so busy with the hustle and bustle of getting to work/school, doing chores/homework, getting to their million-and-one activities that no one has the time to sit and enjoy their families and loved ones. Last month our best friends lost their father to a very difficult battle with health issues and it only strengthened my real 'want' in life - to be cherished by those I love while I'm still alive rather than wait until I'm dead.

Ok - that's it for my crazy bantering.. ha ha. I started a different book today which I got from my future sister-in-law, "The Time Traveler's Wife". After reading a few pages I'm so intrigued and excited to continue reading.
Enjoyed one of my last Hydro Monday's of the year.. ah! After dropping off July to school, I took my time grocery shopping then met up with some friends for lunch. Over lunch we were having a very adult conversation but didn't really think anything of it until Wesly says something like, "As if we're having a long conversation about home reno's and stuff about our homes..". It's funny because one day you're worrying about homework, the next you're married w/ a kid on the way worrying about when you're going to build the basement. HAHA. So I recalled what I was doing almost 9-10 years ago; I was chatting with my now fiance who was then just an online friend about how he was skipping a university class with Carlos to sit at Tim Horton's smoking and playing cards. And now, 9 years later we're planning our wedding. YIKES!
Anyway, I have a few things to do before going to sleep: finish designing our social tickets and reading so I'll end this here.
Good night everyone!
OOo!! One last thing! I'm super excited and giddy because I saw the cutest Telus commercial with one of my favorite holiday songs: Hippopotamuses with the song "I want a Hippopotamus for Christmas" - funny how little things can make me happy :)
